NEO-MUNX is conceived, imagined and written by Mark D. Hoskins.  This story is the direct result of a vivid dream I had during the summer of 2001 and has grown from there.

Late Night Rantings

The spoken word contained in this book is a history of my anger at the ineffective political system, a lashing out at the things I do not agree with. Being a USA / Canada dual-citizen and living in Olympia, Washington during the first five years of the Bush Jr administration, I watched the apathy spread throughout the people, fear and apathy. I found it very angering, but felt hopeless. Halfway through this series, we moved back to Victoria, BC, Canada. You can see a marked difference in the object of my ramblings during the 2005 writings.

Most of these were written in a state of inebriation in the early hours of the morning, after my logical mind was completely saturated and exhausted from my all consuming job of software development.

The piece written on April 10, 2004 was during a plane flight, back from Detroit to Olympia. I smuggled a bottle of Shiraz onto the plane in my water bottle, and consumed it before we reached 30, 000 feet, and then commenced writing.

The piece titled A Silent Remembrance is written in a remorseful tone to remember Rachel Corrie, a dear friend of mine who was crushed under the unsympathetic treads of an Isreali Army Tank that was so preoccupied with occupying Rafal and the Gaza Strip, that they neglected to notice my dear friend Rachel, who was crushed and turned to pulp trying to save the house of the last doctor in Rafah, as well as the last fresh drinking well in Rafah. The well, the hospital, and Rachel were lost that day.
