Blinded by the Light
In a circle of sin
sun envelopes me.
Thirst is the only thing guiding me to the river.
I shiver at the dusk, the cold surrounds me.
As quick as I can walk the night overcomes
woolen blankets wrapped tight
My only protector.
As the sun sets I hear coyotes crying
FREE they speak
tonight they are talking to me,
to my dog it is music.
A symphony I can’t hear, releasing her wonderment.
Is there life beyond my master?
Is there grass beyond the pasture?
