NEO-MUNX is conceived, imagined and written by Mark D. Hoskins.  This story is the direct result of a vivid dream I had during the summer of 2001 and has grown from there.

Song of the Siren

Look upon the waters
Gaze upon the waves
Is it true love, true admiration
Or just a phase
And the fleeting passions, pleating fashions
Beating hearts and heating visions
Tell the tale of greater failure
Follow her but never trail her
Tried and sentenced without penance
Twisted tales of twisted lenience
Left to mourn with others scorning
Crusted scales of trailing followers…
The high cliff walls have filed needles
Sawing slowly through the sea
Roaring spray can’t calm your worries
It only hides the you in me

You try to hide the feelings
The truth you will not hear
When you blank your mind and blank your longing
Is it out of fear
And the cries are soaring, skies out pouring
Acid teardrops gently boring
Knowledge into blood caked sinners
Know the curse and find the winners
Flying up with understanding
Gather round and hear their chanting
Piercing calls that catch me calling
Pull me in the moonlight swallowing

When vultures want to pick my remnants
Up I soar, on the song of the siren
And I want to know, and I want to go…
